The 1873-CC is a very scarce and desirable date in the Seated half dollar series as well as being highly sought after by Carson City enthusiasts. Seldom encountered so fine, PCGS reports just 15 finer with the price more than doubling for MS64 pieces. Highly appealing, both sides of this select example are brilliant at the centers with the obverse surrounded by blue-green, violet, and deep rose hues and the reverse just light ivory-gold at the borders.
