A beautifully preserved example of this underrated early Proof Liberty Seated quarter! Tougher than the mintage of 800 coins would suggest, many unsold examples either were melted or released into circulation. Both of this splendid example are gorgeously toned! The obverse features vivid violet and deep rose rim tints framing amber-orange centers. The reverse features cooler tones of teal, indigo, purple, and pale pink. Sharply struck throughout, with modest contrast to the obverse, and clean, bold mirrors throughout. Bested by only one finer example in the non-Cameo category! - Liberty Seated Quarter
