The first of their type, the 1866 Motto Liberty Seated quarters were struck in the year following the conclusion of the Civil War. A superb survivor from a mintage of 725 proofs, the present offering ranks among the finest of this issue we have had the pleasure of offering! Lovely blue, lavender, and pink rim tints frame essentially brilliant centers on the obverse while similar coloration dominates the reverse mirrors.
