An immensely popular issue among both Double Eagle and Carson City Mint enthusiasts. From a mintage of 91,209 coins comes this attractive and conditionally scarce survivor. Only 15 coins are graded finer with the finest being eight MS63s. Softly lustrous surfaces showcase bold to sharp striking detail throughout. Light bag marks and a few hairlines are typical and define the grade. On the whole the surfaces are pleasing with rich honey-golden color and subtle tangerine and grey highlights on both sides.
