Somehow, from a tiny mintage of just 85 pieces, this little beauty has survived the test of time. A beautiful select example of the proof Liberty half eagle design featuring the reverse motto. An estimated 50 to 65 pieces are extant in all grades. Although not qualifying for the cameo suffix, this piece features a semi-cam look as the softly-frosted satiny devices stand out against the reflective fields. Medium gold surfaces are adorned with tangerine and light tan tones, which somewhat hinder the reflectivity keeping it out of CAM territory.
