The 1917-D Type 1 is scarcer than its Philadelphia Mint counterpart and is very elusive in the finest Mint State grades. PCGS has graded less than ten finer than the present MS67FH. The surface quality is stunning with no discernable flaws. Some deeper toning on the reverse affects the eye appeal, but this piece certainly checks the box for the registry collectors. - Standing Liberty Quarter
