This 1871 superb Cameo gem is one of 960 proof dimes struck that year. Sharply impressed motifs are frosted and standout against wonderfully mirrored fields. On the obverse the central devices remain silvery-white complimented by wisps of violet, blue-green, and gold. The reverse is coated in warm gold, red, and olive hues.
