From a low mintage of just 63,000 pieces, this is the first year of the resumption of the Classic Head Half Cent after stopping in 1811. A mark-free example but displaying somewhat dry surfaces, which subdues the luster slightly. Still, light luster glows from the crevices of the devices. Rose tones are visible in hand as mint red color tries to peak through the thick layer of satin patina. A technical gem and an exciting underrated date. PCGS has graded only two finer in BN with just a few lower-graded RB pieces. A mintage of only 63,000! - Classic Head Half Cent
