With a tiny mintage of 1,460 pieces, this is one of the toughest gold dollars to find, as they rarely come to the market. Excellent luster illuminates the orange/honey gold surfaces throughout. Very boldly struck with just a whisper of wear. The 5 in the date is the only remnant of a slightly weak strike. A small lamination error appears on the obverse and adds interest! When viewing it in hand, this piece almost seems to have a semi-prooflike appearance. Very appealing! - Gold Dollar
