A very scarce and desirable Dahlonega mint issue, just 4,643 coins were struck of this key issue. A beautiful AU example with bright gold surfaces and russet-red tones illuminated by impressive luster. Devices are well defined throughout with soft wear on the highest points. There is an obverse planchet flaw and a henpeck that draw the eye slightly. The overall eye appeal is brilliant and with only four UNC examples known, this mid-AU is a high-end example worthy of serious consideration. - Liberty Head $2.5
