From a large mintage of 5,538,000, few survive at this lofty level of preservation. Tied with four others at this grade with just three finer. However, it is hard to believe that any could compare with the beauty of the present piece. The obverse boasts a full rainbow of colors while the reverse is primarily teal and sage with flares of red and violet coloration at the peripherals. The strike is practically flawless and the radiant luster is amazing! A light grey patina is scattered across the obverse but does not impede the eye appeal. This is a great condition census offering with would fit right in with the finest registry set. Previously housed in a PCGS MS67 holder. - Barber Half Dollar
