An impressive mintage of nearly 48 million pieces leaves this modern issue very common, even in uncirculated condition. However, the present piece comes from a PCGS population of 17 with only four PCGS/NGC examples graded finer. Generous satin luster lights up the steely-grey surfaces. Boldly struck and very appealing! PCGS granted their plus-grade to this gem and it is very possible that a single bag mark on the reverse by the eagle's tail feathers. CAC approval is scarce for Ike Dollars considering the populations and no finer example has earned the sticker! - Ike Dollar
