From a total mintage of over 2.8 million coins for the date, this is an impressive overdate and also an S-196 variety. PCGS has only graded 20 examples of the variety and the present piece is bested by just two! Deep brown surfaces glow with luster and showcase a lovely electric blue tint when rotated in hand. The overdate is bold and easily visible with the naked eye. Apart from grade-defining chatter, a single light mark in front of Liberty's neck is visible.
